Notice of Destruction of Records:
On August 4, 2017, in accordance with the Illinois State Board of Education’s rules and regulations governing school records and with the Illinois School Student Act of 1975, South Macoupin Association for Special Education will destroy the Special Education Records of students who graduated in 2011 or earlier. Student records affected are Mt. Olive CUSD 5, Staunton CUSD 6, Gillespie CUSD 7, and Bunker Hill CUSD 8 records. To obtain copies of records before the originals are destroyed, graduates of the Class of 2011 or their legal guardians may contact the SMASE Office at 618-635-8230, or visit the SMASE office at 801 North Deneen, Staunton, IL (located in the Staunton Schools Library) during school hours before August 3, 2017.
Notice of Public Hearing
Notice is Hereby Given by the Governing Board of the South Macoupin Association for Special Education, in the County of Macoupin, State of Illinois, that tentative budget for said School District for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2018, will be on file and conveniently available to public inspection at 801 North Deneen Street, Staunton IL 62088 in the South Macoupin Association for Special Education office from and after 8:00 a.m. on the 15th day of August, 2017. Notice is further hereby given that a public hearing on said budget will be held at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th day of September, 2017 the School Library in Staunton CUSD 6, in the County of Macoupin, State of Illinois.
